Last night, the city held the 2012 Philadelphia Sports Hall Of Fame Ceremony. The ceremony had some of the city's top athletes, including Flyer great Eric Lindros. Our friends from SportsTalk Philadelphia on La Salle TV and David Grzybowski had the privilege at being at such a huge event.

As alot of people know that Philadelphia is very passonate about their Football, when it comes to the Eagles, everyone gets mixed emotions each week during the NFL Season, one player in paticular has one of those experences, Tiger Jones who played for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League got the opportunity of a lifetime, the Philadelphia Eagles invited Tiger Jones to Training Camp to see if he will make the team. This season for the Philadelphia Soul, Jones lead the team in all receiving categories, totaling 2,010 yards on 133 receptions and a career-high 47 touchdowns. Tiger Jones played College Football at University of Louisville. this year was Jones 4th year in playing Arena Football League. Below is my One on One interview with Tiger Jones:
1. What was your reaction when the Eagles Announced that they signed you for Training Camp this year?
Tiger Jones: " I had a lot of mixed emotions and feelings. 1st I thought are they serious then there was if they are I need to get ready, but then I thought about the Soul and the great season we were having, the playoff run we were gearing up for and possible championship. but definiltely excited at the opportunity to play for the Eagles I knew I would have to do it."
2. How hard was it to leave the Philadelphia Soul as they enter the Playoffs?
Tiger Jones: " the decision wasnt hard I knew that a opportunity like that was too great to pass up. But everybody in the Soul organization was behind me 100% and that made it alot easier too. So it was definitely a bit of a catch 22 but I knew what I had to do."
3. Explain how hard is it to play Arena Football?
Tiger Jones: " The arena game is all about angles. with the dimensions of the filed being so small you have to be able to adjust in my case routes in order to get open. everything happens fast and you have to be a quick reactor. you also have to know how to gage your speed everything is not full speed and thats one thing thats hard for young guys to grasp. But if you can get the speed and the angles down then you become just a football player and your talent takes over and there's actually more space out there than you think."
4. What would you take away from your time with the Philadelphia Eagles?
Tiger Jones: " It was a great experience its always great when you can be around and play with other great players like DeSean Jackson Jeremy Maclin Jason Avant LeSean McCoy Mike Vick, and also compete against guys like Cromartie and Nnamdi. I can definetly play in this league I think the main difference is those guys have been doing it for 4 5 years kinda like me in Arena, so there is a level of comfort that comes with that in just knowing exactly how they want things done. Very few guys just come in the league and have "it". Everybody has their level of skills but you have to work at it and guys like Jackson and Maclin and Avant have worked at it and thats why they are who they are. so with a guy like me or any guy new to the NFL you just need that time to work your craft its just a matter of getting in there and getting that time."
5. Would you say Arena Football is a good way to get prepared for the NFL?
Tiger Jones: " Id say arena football is a good way to contiune playing football while trying and workin to move to that next level. when you look around you see that there are only 2 major professional football leagues in america NFL and AFL. well there is way more top notch talent in the world than 2 leagues can fit. and thats why you see more and more arena guys getting opportunities from arena to the NFL. if not college where else do the players come from? they are in the AFL."
6. Will you be returning to the Philadelphia Soul for the 2013 season?
Tiger Jones: " Im goin to approach this offseason like I always do and thats do whats best for me at that time. so when it comes around for Arena to start up ill make a decision thats best for me. I do plan on playin football in 2013 though."

He dicussed a number of topics including his first taste of the postseason, Jimmy Rollins' comments about the fans, and the comeback win of his San Francisco 49ers against the Eagles.

On Sunday, September 25, the Battle Of I95 will take place at the Palestra in Philadelphia. Basketball fans from all over the country will be in attendance to watch Team Philly square off against Team Baltimore.
Buzz On Broad was joined by Rahim Thompson for an exclusive interview. Rahim Thompson is the commissioner of the Chosen League, the incredible charity that put this event together.
When asked whether or not Lebron James and Kevin Durant would be in attendance, Thompson said, "Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, and CP3 will be here. Kevin Durant, he is filming a movie right now, he's trying to make arrangements to get here. He should be a little bit late, but he's trying to get here."
Rumors have been swirling about Allen Iverson, and Thompson would not comment on the subject saying, "No comment. No comment on that. That right there we gonna say no comment on."

In a recent interview with Buzz On Broad Sports Talk Radio, Phillies reliever and fan favorite Mike Stutes had some incredible things to say about the Philly faithful.
"It’s amazing. I have a couple other buddies that are playing in other cities right now, and hearing their stories and comparing them to what I’ve experienced so far, there is no comparison with the Phillie fans to anywhere else. They truly are die hard fans, and they live and breathe Phillies baseball."
"From the players standpoint, you can’t appreciate it enough."
"When you step out onto the field, and there is 45,000 people there and they are that excited to be there, it kind of breathes a breath of fresh air into you every day.
"I can’t be thankful enough with the reception I’ve gotten since I got called up."
When asked about the Phillies pitching staff including starters and relievers, and where they stack up against other teams in baseball, Mike had this to say:
"I can’t really imagine any other starting staff being better than what we roll out there every 5 days. There is no real weak link there."
"Guys like Vance Worley and Kyle Kendrick get a bad rap because they’re not Cliff Lee or Roy Halladay. Those guys are solid major league starters."
Finally, we wrapped things up with Mike by asking him about the Twitter world:
"One of the guys that I played with down in AAA, Michael Schwimer, has been doing the Twitter thing for a year and a half now. I really didn’t understand it, and I still don’t think I fully do."
"Never realized there were that many people out there that were wondering what I am doing or what I have to say."
