As we all know the Eagles season didn't quite play out the way we thought it would. Coming off of last season's 8-8 record, this year was bound for improvement. Man, were we wrong. Watching an Eagles game was extremely painful at times this season. Even our friends from Cover Sports and the awesome banner above couldn't help make the experience a little better. In this current season, due to injuries, poor play and several other intangibles, the Eagles are currently 4-9.
This season provided us with several coaching moves, player moves and offensive line shuffles. As for the coaching, this season more than ever, Philadelphia has been begging to "Fire Andy". This season brought us some positives towards the future with Nick Foles and Bryce Brown. With the firing of Juan Castillo and Jim Washburn, the major question comes to mind, will Andy Reid be back?
The 2012-2013 season is still underway, with the Eagles playing tonight at Lincoln Financial Field vs Cincinnati at 8:20pm. Right now the Eagles are fighting for pride, and/or a high draft pick. The season has brought Eagles fans to an all-time low, to a point where some fans prefer to lose for a higher pick. Here in Philadelphia, we give our hard earned money and time to support the team we love, and when that team doesn't compete, we get angry. Right, Santa?
Philadelphia gets a bad reputation because we boo when our "product" doesn't produce. In the real world, when something goes wrong, you don't keep letting it happen and says it okay. Philadelphia is the only city that gives the players what they give us. If they give us their all, we cheer; if they give a minimal effort (Jason Babin) we then boo and probably say hurtful things. That shouldn't define us, because in the end I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, and I am certain that you agree.

Well, first of all, we need to clean house in terms of the coaching staff. We need to draft a whole new secondary, and see if we can't also shore up both offensive and defensive lines. Hopefully, our injured guys, McCoy, Peters, Kelce, Herremans, and Jackson. I wouldn't purposely tank for a higher draft pick, with the way we're playing, we'll get a high enough one anyway. I've seen enough from our young guys - Foles, Cox, Graham, Brown, and Kendricks to keep them around (but they have stuff they can work on). And just be patient, this turn-around could take awhile.

I agree with you on a lot right there, but maybe I am too optimistic. I feel that once we hire a new head coach, O-line and secondary coach, as well as special teams, that this team can compete again. We have the tools, we just need a new system. Having a high pick in the draft can't hurt either. As long as we don't grab another fireman...
