With the players and owners set to privately meet in New York tomorrow, it is safe to say that this could be the last push for hockey. Six owners (Tampa Bay, Calgary, Pittsburgh, Winnipeg, Toronto and Boston) will meet with several players on Tuesday, some believe it will Sidney Crosby and Jonathan Toews among others. The meeting will be strictly between these owners and players, with one "staff member" from each side.
Gary Bettman, Donald Fehr and the league's board of governors are set to meet on Wednesday, just one day after these private owners/players meeting. Whether that meeting can help clear the path, we will just have to wait and find out.
