Sports are a game based on skill; skills where players from around the world show the talents in the profession they specialize in. The athletes have dedicated thousands of hours training, practicing, watching films, and whatever else they could to increase their skillsets and talents. Athletes, whether professional or amateur, are working countless hours to be the very best at what they do.
Games and matches are the true tests of an individual's skill, but is there any luck involved? Is there luck involved in a game like football, when a hail mary actually works? Or in baseball, when the ball just stays fair? Having a certain skill set is one thing, but having luck is another. Some might argue that luck is the product of being in the right place at the right time as a result of hard work. Or in other words, using that skill can put you in the position to be "lucky"... but is this the case in all sports?
Is poker and forms of our favorite card game, like Texas Hold'em, considered a game of skill or luck?
