One would have thought that the first major news for the Philadelphia Phillies would have been a major signing or a trade. Well, that was not the case today. News broke just recently that Phillies' All Star catcher Carlos Ruiz has been suspended by Major League Baseball for 25 games without pay after testing positive for the use of an amphetamine.
Ruiz was caught using adderall, which is an amphetamine that works to help treat ADHD. Since the amphetamine is considered a stimulant rather than a steroid according to the MLB's policy, Ruiz will only get the 25-game suspension instead of a 50-game suspension.
Ruiz had by far his best season of his career last year and he will not be able to play until April 28th. This may be a bigger deal than it seems, but the suspension should not affect the 2013 Philadelphia Phillies.

Thus was removed the only possible effective counterweight to the Democrats’ active collaboration with Islamic supremacists.
