Seems like Sixers' guards, Nick Young and Maalik Wayns have become an inextinguishable fire following another preseason victory Wednesday night. Each scored 19 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 113-99 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Sixers were also helped by wingman, Dorell Wright, who scored 17 points, while guard, Jrue Holiday, had 13 for the Liberty Ballers.
Philadelphia started off using a 21-2 run to stretch its lead to 51-30 in the second quarter. Their biggest lead of the game was 32 points at one point.
Lavoy Allen grabbed 11 boards for a Sixers team still playing without center Andrew Bynum. Bynum was benched for the preseason as he recovers from knee treatment and will return for the season opener against the Denver Nuggets.
The Sixers also finished the game shooting 48 percent from behind the three-point-line. They were led by Wright's four 3s, the Sixers hit 12 of 25 3-pointers. Wayns made three 3s.
With continued play from the guard position, this Sixers team is knocking on the door for an eventual playoff appearance later this postseason.
