In the search of a General Manager during this extended off season, the Sixers targeted different people who are coveted minds, not only in the managerial area, but also in the area of statistics and analytics. Even though the 76ers settled on bringing in local front office legend, Tony Dileo, the hunt to bring more stats and analytics to the front office hasn't been ceased.
He plans on adding to the scouting staff to get more information, not only for the scouting of other teams but also to do advanced scouting for playoff situations and drafting purposes. It was always thought that Dileo was one of the more intelligent minds in the front office, now with the thought of bringing in a statistician just solidifies that thought even more.
The front office seems to be headed in the right direction which is good news for Philadelphia fans alike. After fans basically disowned the leadership of the team while bringing in players like Kwame Brown and a recently released Daryl Watkins, to resigning Spencer Hawes and releasing Lou Williams, the demeanor on South Broad has taken a turn for the better. Bringing in a star center in Andrew Bynum amongst other pieces has the making for two things...
Cheesesteaks and Championships boys and girls...Cheesesteaks and Championships.
