According to Todd Zolecki, the Philadelphia Phillies have activated outfielder Nate Schierholtz from the 15-day disabled list.
Schierholtz, going on the disabled list on August 13th, had to work his way back from breaking the big toe on his right foot. He recently was in a rehab assignment with the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs beginning this past Sunday.
Nate hit .219 with a home run, a double and two RBIs in 11 games with the Phillies before being injured. He was acquired on July 31st from the San Francisco Giants along with catcher Tommy Joseph and right-hander Seth Rosin for outfielder Hunter Pence.
This will be the first of many moves for the Phillies this month, as rosters have expanded for the last few weeks of the season.
