The Phillies will look to build momentum off of last night's extra-innings victory by welcoming the Washington Nationals for their last weekend home series of the 2012 Summer months. The first game of three, which can be seen on CSN Philadelphia and heard on 1210 WPHT AM & 98.1 WOGL FM, will feature RHP Kyle Kendrick (6-9) and 2011 NLDS foe, RHP Edwin Jackson (7-8).
Jackson is (0-3) with a 5.60 ERA in 17.2 career innings against the Phillies in regular season play. In 76.2 career innings against the Nationals, Kyle Kendrick is (2-4) with a 4.93 ERA.
Kendrick last started against Washington at home this year on May 21st. He received the loss as he went 7.0 innings, allowing just two runs on five hits. His last two outings have been stellar, as Kendrick has allowed zero runs over 15 combined innings.
