Phillies manager Charlie Manuel has been suspended one game for his confrontation with umpire Bob Davidson on Tuesday of this week.
Cholly and Davidson got in an on-field altercation in the 8th inning of the Phillies' 4-3 win over the Astros on Tuesday after Davidson slightly obstructed catcher Brian Schneider on a ball that got away from him.
Manuel went toe to toe with Davidson after the umpire had some choice words for a member of the Phillies dugout following the play.
Bob Davidson was also suspended by the commissioner's office for the way he handled the situation.
Manuel will serve his suspension tonight, missing the opening game of the weekend series with the Boston Red Sox.
