Brandon Graham will finally get the chance to remove the "bust" label that many fans have already put on him.
The team had until 4 p.m. tomorrow to activate Graham, but wasted no time as they did so today. The move makes Graham eligible to play in Monday nights game against the Chicago Bears.
In order to make room for Graham, the Eagles released offensive guard Kyle DeVan.
DeVan, who was picked up in the preseason when Danny Watkins fell out of favor with the coaches, is a surprise to see go. But the move shows that after a few solid starts by Watkins, the coaches feel he is good to go the rest of the season. DeVan was one of the more outspoken offensive lineman, and it was not a rare sight to see him and rookie center Jason Kelce talking and trading notes in the locker room.
It would not be surprising to see DeVan added later in the season if he is still a free agent.
Although Graham will likely be in uniform tomorrow, it is likely to just take the reps for Juqua Parker, who is doubtful with a high ankle sprain.
If Parker were healthy, Graham most likely would not have been activated until next week.
Back in uniform for the first time since he suffered a season ending injury last year against the Dallas Cowboys. Before he went down, Graham's play was dissapointing to many. Graham will have to play lights out the rest of this season to go into training camp next season with his job secured. If he does not play well, he may be on he Lehigh chopping block come next summer.
